HOURS OF WORK: 7am - 7pm Monday - Friday | 7am - 6pm Saturday (as required)

The next stage of works will begin 10 March 2025. We will be installing new drainage, ducting, streetlighting, footpaths, cycle lanes, raised tables at intersections, bus stops and tree pits.

We will be working in two locations along Great North Road at a time. The sections are:

-
between Mackelvie Street and Sussex Street, and
-
between Northland Street and Crummer Road.
In these areas, there will be no entry to side streets from Great North Road. This includes Scanlan Street, Sussex Street, Waima Street, Kirk Street, Coleridge Street and Crummer Road. Please follow detour signs to the next accessible side street. See www.AT.govt.nz/greatnorthroad for details of detours. We will be working on both sides of Great North Road at a time. There will be one lane of traffic open in each direction along Great North Road around our sites.

Vehicle access to businesses and residential properties will be maintained throughout the works. There will be Traffic Controllers on site to manage access to properties next to our site.

Bus stops within our site will be temporarily closed and signage will direct people to the nearest bus stop. There will be some pedestrian diversions in place around our site and no on-street parking within our work areas. You may need to park on your property or further down the road and walk to your property.
